Brought to you in association with Cheshire Rural Touring Arts, ‘Between the Two Strings - Storytelling through the Erhu’ brings the past and present of China to life through the thrilling voice of a unique artist.
Ling Peng is a storyteller and one of the UK's most well-known players of the erhu, an ancient, captivating and highly expressive instrument that summons the soul of Chinese culture.
In this deeply personal performance Ling shares the experience of growing up in China from the 1960s, before leaving in 1991, as the country entered a period of rapid change.
Join us for this specially created and intimate performance that promises to take us into the heart of Chinese heritage through storytelling.
